Hi, this week my reading goal was Identify several ideas, discuss the author's stance or purpose, and understand the relationships in the text. we had to get 3 main ideas from the text. The authors purpose for writing the text and 1 main relationship within the text. This is my work.

Genetic modification of humans

Hi, this week for P.B.L we did some research about the genetic modification of humans, (Designer babies). My group was against  this happening, and these are our points to show why Designer babies should not be made.

P.B.L driving question

Hi,  This term the driving question is what will the future ask of us.  So far we have explored 5 problems in the world today, what jobs robots will potentially takeover, the difference between a robot and a human and what quality's will be needed and valued in the future.  We then watched a video of the first robot citizen ( Sophia ) sing on a show. My 5 Problems in the world where: Global warming, Animal endangerment, War and World hunger and some of the differences between a robot and a human is that humans can build relationships that are much stronger and better than a robots and, we eat, sleep, drink and die. Robots are not that much different to humans tho so we never know for sure if robots can do the same things as us.

Some of the quality's that I think will be valued in the further will be : adaptability, reliability, creativeness and a strong work ethic.  I think that it is incredible that we have a robot citizen but I also this is a little bit scary for many reasons.  Most of the jobs that are more repetitive, will be taken over by robots first.  That means that jobs like: McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's will have robots working for them first.  All jobs are safe for now but you never know what the future holds.

The day after

Hi, today is the day after our going live day and I am going to tell you how it went.   When I first came into school it was like a normal day. I went to put my bag away and then played with my Friends. When the bell rang well that's when things started. The teachers called the roll and when you heard your name you went over to the hall where we would be preforming.  The teachers then told us that we needed to be quiet and taught us how to connect to the equipment.  Then the people that were not preforming First went back to the hub.  When the first group of people where done then it was my tern.  I was soooooooooooo nervous and almost cried (I was much better in the later show). When I had finished I felt much better and was even looking forward to doing my next show I enjoyed going live and hope that we do something like it next term.  This is the link for my recording Link  .  Would you like to go live?
