Hi, this week my Reading goal is: Use knowledge from text to combine with new ideas (own and others) to come up with new thinking. Our create task for this workshop was to create a KWL chart to show what we know what we have learnt and what we wounder this is the finished product.

Playing Hockey for the B team

Hi everyone.  This term as you already know I play hockey for winter sport.  Last weeks game was a bye so I got to play for the B team. I helped them win their first game 4-0, by stopping goals and setting them up for others to score.  I really enjoyed playing in a different team but cant wait until the winter zones tournament when I will playing for my normal team.  Do you play any winter sports?

breakout EDU

Hi, this week we are doing breakout EDU and I am going to tell you about it.  Breakout EDU is when you get locked in a room and then you have to find clues to open a box with lots of locks.  I went with my Friend and some other people from my hub. Our first lock we figured out was a direction lock when we have to do the right combination of directions IE Left,Down ,Up and then Right. Then it was a word lock when we had to find out the right letters to put into the lock IE g l a s s b e d glass bed. then we figured out the two number locks and we even manged to open a smaller box that gave us a clue. The last lock we figed out was the normal lock that just needed a key to open it. We opened that lock last because it look a long time to find the key.  Would you like to do breakout EDU?

Teacher Strike

Hi, this week the teachers went on strike. Well actually the teachers only went on strike for a day. But it was still a holiday. The Wednesday they went on strike was a good day for me but the teachers did not only go on strike because they wanted a holiday, they went on strike because, one, they felt like they did not get to spend enough time actually teaching but where mostly working on admin stuff.  Two, they felt like they were not getting paid enough for what they were doing and wanted a pay raise.  Have you had a teachers strike day? 

BINGO CARD

Hi, This week my hub have been doing speeches and gloss testing. When we where not being gloss tested we are doing a bingo card which is what I am going to talk to you about in this blog post.  The bingo card consisted of 9 tasks to do.  Some of those tasks were problem solving a book review and more. The task we had to do first was problem solving because we have to do problem solving each week. Then we could complete the rest in any order we wanted.  Do you do problem solving?

Word Investigation chart

Hi, this week for reading I have been working on this goal. Can use a range of strategies, such as inferring, to work out more complex words. For our create part of reading we have had to make an word investigation chart. That means that we read a story and found word's that we didn't now. Then we put them into a chart and explained what we thought that the words meant. this is my finished product.

hockey

Hi, this term for winter sports I am doing hockey.  I chose to play hockey because I really enjoy it and want to do more.  I stared playing hockey for a club when I was little and have continued to play. so far we have been winning all our games and I hope we continue to.  I often play back in defence but sometimes I play up. My favorite sport is hockey and hope to keep playing.  Do you like to play a sport?
