Top Team

Hi, In this blog post I will be telling you about top team. Friday of week 6 term 4 a group of people from Top Team came to our school and set out mini games and challenges that where run by volunteers from our school. We got into teams based on our camp activity groups and got handed a peace of paper to show us where we where going.

The first activity that we did was one where we where versing  another team and we had a cut open pipe and a ball about the size of a tennis ball. We had to get the ball into a bucket down the other end of the line as many times as we could rolling the ball down the pipes with out dropping the ball and with out using you hands.
Then we did an activity against another team but this time we had a sling shot, bean bags, a bucket and our hands. 3 people when down one end and used the sling shot well the rest of the group went down the other end and tried to catch the flying bean bags and put them in the bucket.
We then moved on to our least favourite activity. There was a big peace of red fabric and blue fabric. They looked like huge hair ties except a lot wider and less thick.  We had to get in them and try to move them down to the other end and back as many times as possible with out touching the ground with our feat or our hands and if you did then you had to restart.
Then we moved on to a fun game. It was a big game of noughts and crosses.  There was a big fabric board with squares so it looked like what you would use to play noughts and crosses. You where then given big X's or O's and had to race them  into the spots that you wanted them to go before the other team. It was quite fun.
Then we did a game that we where not so good at. We where given hula hopes and we had to throw them and try to get them on poles to get points. We had no luck with the game but we laughed a lot and had fun.
We then went to one of our favourite games. There was a big peace of fabric with squares on it like the noughts and crosses board.  We lined up and had to try to find the secret path hidden on it by trying to step on different squares. If you got the right square then you got to try again and continue the path but if you got it wrong then you had to go to the back of the line and the person behind you had to continue on from where you where.
Then we moved onto building towers.  We had to build the tallest tower that we could using blocks. It was fun but I really wanted to go to the water activates. We had to try to build the tallest tower out of all the groups that had been before us.
Finely the time had come for us to do the water activities. The first one was where we had to block holes in a pipe and pore water down it and try to get a tennis ball to the top. It was fun but I kept getting spayed in the face.
The second one was called Water Bus. You had to fill up a container and then tip it directly behind you into the other persons container. I got water dumped on me by my friend Tremaine. Here is the link to his blog.
We then moved onto a dry activity. It was one where you and 3 other people had to go into a blue sack and try to get it down to the other end and then swap and the other four people got in. You had to try to do that as many times as possible. We where ok at that one but we needed a lot more practise.
Then we moved on to an activity that we where quite good at. You had to put your feat into strips of fabric that where attached to large ski like pieces of wood.  You had one foot on one piece of wood and one on the other piece of wood. Then you had to move with the other people in the group to get down to the other end of the line and get the last person over the finish line before the other teem.
The last one that we did was one where we had 4 mini mazes that two people had to carry each. We also had a ping pong ball and we had to get the ball through the maze to a hole at the end and then drop it down into the other persons maze until you reached a bucket you then had to get the ball in the bucket and start going down the other way.
Over all the day was soooo fun and I hope I get to do it again.  Have you done Top Team?
